Over €100,000 raised for Trocaire in Mobile Phone Recycle Appeal 12th Nov 2008
Pictured is Eoghan Kavanagh of "Kavanagh Environmental" presenting a cheque for €104,112 to Justin Kilcullen Director Of Trocaire the Irish Overseas Development Agency. This represents the money raised by recycling over 35,000 unwanted mobile phones in 2008. The 2009 campaign has just begun with a recycle envelope being delivered to every household and business premises in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland by An Post and the Royal Mail respectively. It is hoped that with the expansion of the campaign into Northern Ireland that over 50,000 unwanted phones will be recycled during 2009.
