Overview Kavanagh Environmental specialises in “Fundraising through Recycling” for charities, schools and community groups. The concept is based on asking the general public to donate unwanted used or faulty electronic devices (i.e. mobile phones, PDA’s, I-Pod’s, Digital Cameras etc) to a charity. Kavanagh Environmental is the facilitator for collecting and recycling of the donated mobile phones. The recycling process will generate cash which results in a substantial sustainable cash donation to the charity. This is a win, win for both the Beneficiary Organisation and the Environment. How to get involved Our “Fundraising Through Recycling” program collects used unwanted Mobile Phones, I-pods, PDA’s, MP3 Players and Digital cameras for reuse and recycling. This program raises funds for our charitable partners and helps the environment by preventing the dumping of toxic mobile phones and batteries into landfill. The “Fundraising Through Recycling” has raised over €200,000 for our chartable partners since January 2008. Our programs are designed to cater for large nationwide or small local organisations. Overview Kavanagh Environmental provides an environmentally safe and commercially satisfactory Asset Recovery solution for Electronic Products including (mobile phones, PDA’s, MP3 players, I-Pods, Video Games Consoles, Digital Cameras, IT equipment and Spare Parts). Manufacturers, Distributors or Retailers with slow moving, obsolete, faulty or excess inventory should contact Kavanagh Environmental who will prepare an Asset Recovery management proposal. This proposal will demonstrate how Kavanagh Environmental can release valuable cash on a once off or an ongoing basis for commercial organisations for their slow moving, obsolete, faulty or excess inventory.
Take Back Scheme for Retailers In store recycling or “Take Back” programmes can be designed for Retailers, with Kavanagh Environmental providing all the logistics and back office support for such a service. The retailers operate their own voluntary take-back system across their retail network. EOL (End of Life) electronic products (mobile phones, digital cameras, i-pods, MP3, Games Consoles etc) are collected either free of charge, or in some cases with a customer reward or as a donation to a charity. The returned product is then transported to Kavanagh Environmental’s recycling facilities. Some of the product is repaired and refurbished for reuse and the scraps are transformed into raw materials for other products. Kavanagh Environmental funds the entire process at NO COST to the retailer through the sale of repaired product and or the valuable raw materials obtained in the recycling process.
